Sweet Sunlight

Spring in Bristol… what else is there to say but… FABULOUS! I’m sitting in the kitchen right now with the window wide open and the sunlight is pouring in – getting some well-needed vitamin D after weeks of cloudy skies and rain. It’s definitely been worth the wait, and the birds agree!

As the days start to get longer and brighter, there seems to be more and more happening in Bristol. Being Bristol, it already had a lot going on –  but since spring started, everyone’s been more excited and eager to be involved in things. Granted, exams and essays are right around the corner, but it’s all made more bearable when you can work outside on the grass with your mates. We’ve finally been given the sunny/grassy/smiley scenario we were promised on all those prospectus covers!

So anyway – I’m keeping myself busy as we prepare to set off for Easter which I have no doubt will be bitter sweet. Sweet because it will be good to be home and bitter is the work I have to take with me. Before I’ve finished with my second year at Bristol I have 3 French exams and 4 essays due (all before examination period begins). I know I’ll get quite stressed and my time management skills will be pushed to new levels, but at least I’ll be done with everything before my science-degree friends have even started!

Until then (yes, my procrastinating skills are in play) I’m enjoying many of the things spring in Bristol has to offer. Training for the Bristol 10K in May, going to balls/formals, and nights out at the pub are all the more enjoyable now that it’s warmer! Having said that, bring on the work!
